International Women’s Day Lunch

Join us on Thursday, March 9th as we gather for a delicious lunch buffet to celebrate International Women’s Day at The GrandWay. While you enjoy your meal, a variety of women from Centre Wellington will share their stories, reflecting on challenges and opportunities in their own personal journeys.
This event is brought to you by Grand River Agricultural Society (GRAS) and The GrandWay!
11.30 am Doors open
12.00 pm Lunch buffet is served, and speakers commence
1.30 pm Event close

Menu:
Field Greens Salad – Mixed purple and green kale, curried butternut squash, watermelon radish, candied sunflower kernels, and pomegranate seeds, with maple soy vinaigrette.
Citrus Braised Beet/Arugula Salad – Trio of red, yellow, and candy stripe beets, arugula, fresh herbs, and goat’s cheese. Topped with roasted garlic and herb croutons with an orange honey dressing.
Grilled Lemongrass Chicken – Grilled boneless chicken thigh with Thai marinade
Orange Cardamom Crème Brulee
Dark Chocolate Vegan Brownie – Served with raspberry sorbet. (For our gluten/dairy-free and vegan guests only)

Lynne Bard-BR – Lynne is an Honours BA in Sociology, CHRL, and a Transformation HR Consultant and Leadership Coach. As one of the top 20 coaches in Guelph, Ontario, Lynne specializes in mentoring and coaching leaders in organizations to assist them in their roles. Beyond Rewards and thehrcoach.ca were developed out of Lynne’s passion for HR and her love of helping others to succeed.
Kristel Manes – Kristel Manes is a Change Management Specialist; having spent the last 13 years coaching entrepreneurs as they start and grow businesses. Kristel has an extensive history in communication and negotiation amongst such prominent groups as boards of directors, sponsors, core funding partners, senior management, peers, and aspiring business owners.
Heather Matthews – As Chief Client Officer for Crawford Canada, Heather has responsibility for sales, account management and marketing functions. She has been involved in mentoring programs, public speaking, and customer service program development. She currently runs a woman’s leadership mentoring program and sits on the Board for Crawford Canada. She has served as a past board member of the Women In Insurance Cancer Crusade (WICC), past president of the Canadian Independent Adjusters Association (CIAA) and currently is a director for Ontario for CIAA. She also is a member of the Program Advisory Council (PAC) at Conestoga College for their insurance program and devotes time to her Scottish roots and sits on the board of the Fergus Scottish Festival.
Dominique Wild – Dominique is an internationally experienced restauranteur and events planner and together with my husband, I own and operate the Wild Tart and The Badley in Elora. She has had the chance to live and work in some incredible places around the world and is now thrilled to call Centre Wellington our home where she and her partner live with their 2 beautiful children.
